Hired on Thumbtack

Brad was on time and ready to go with whatever I asked of him. He worked for 4 hours and in that time checked out our fireplace, hung curtains and hardware in 7 rooms, hung heavy pictures and mirrors throughout the house and even came to my rescue when I stepped on a piece of broken glass. He cleaned the blood that had dropped onto the carpet and even helped me bandage my foot. He was skilled and efficient and overly qualified for the tasks I asked of him- but he did all cheerfully. I will definitely hire Brad again and would reccommend him to my family and friends.

Brad replaced french door hardware in our home. He did a great job and was fantastic to work with. I will use him again for sure.

I contacted Petersen Contracting to install custom closet doors in all bedrooms not knowing what to expect. Not only the job I hired him to do was done above my expectations, it turned out that Peter has a lot of skills and fixed a lot of things in my house. Excellent skills and work, always try to accommodate customer, very nice personality. Teresa

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Every project is different. Every pricing or process for payment should be tailored to the project. I have a general Progress Payment Schedule that I use for larger projects. Otherwise, I will bill the project at completion or charge a daily rate. Just really depends on the nature of the project.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I am a true believer of a meeting at the onset to get a feeling for each other. It is important to develop a rapport and have confidence before the project lifts off.

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

I have been in construction all my life. My father was a licensed general engineer in San Jose. As kids, my brothers and I would work for the company during the summers. I went to college, got a business degree, worked as an estimator at a few other contracting businesses, then obtained my license and started my own business.
