Introduction: I like to get to know the clients before photographing them. I want to make sure I capture not just their likeness, but their personality. I also do not outsource my post production work (editing, retouching) so the customer can personalize their photo session and how their images are edited. I love meeting new people and capturing special moments in their lives. My favorite part is when the clients get their images and I hear how happy they are.

I'm Miss Egypt 2013 (QOTU Pageant) and I met Melanie on Model Mayhem. Initially we stayed in touch for a few months until her project became available and once she cast me to be apart of it she kept me updated every step of the way and what to expect. She is an amazing photographer and a flawless retoucher. What I enjoyed most about our shoot is that she was able to get the most fantastic and best shots in a short amount of time bc she knew exactly what to look for and her lighting was impeccable. I would recommend working with Melanie Gagne and I actually plan on working with her again. It was a pleasure.

I'm a fashion/swimwear model located in Malibu. I've been modeling since the age of 14. I've met photographers all over the world. I've been published, I've worked with designers, walked shows..the typical model life. I actually contacted Melanie for some shots for my book. 2 of them have made it into my professional book and I have got jobs from them. Melanie is a good photographer. Makeup and hair is done well. She has a great attitude and knowledge of lighting and photography. Has great ideas and an artistic eye.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Wedding Photography - $800 Engagement Session - $350 Wedding package - $1000 - includes engagement session. Senior portraits - $200 (includes 4 fully retouched images and a digital gallery) Headshots - $250 (includes makeup and hair styling) *add makeup and hair styling to any shoot for $75
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I follow several youtube photography and photoshop channels. I spend about 10 hour a week just learning new techniques.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I was trained as a painter, so I always had an interest. But if I'm being honest, I sort of fell into it. I responded to a craigslist ad 7 years ago. It was for a portrait studio, I took the job with zero experience and fell in love with photography.
