FAQs
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
It was easy. My dad is a photographer. I was 27 and searching for something to do that didn't involve wearing a suit everyday. I just kind of fell into it I guess. Now I'm 30 and I couldn't be happier.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I love all kinds of productions from narrative film to commercial to music video to event to weddings. I typically shoot, direct, and edit. I also write and plan creative concepts for commercial and music video clients.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
My advice is to plan for the full investment. In addition to shooting, there may be a necessity for creative planning, pre-production (that is, finding locations, auditioning actors, props, wardrobe etc), and editing. Each of these require time that must be calculated into the bid. When you hear day rate, this usually refers to a shooter who shows up, hits record, and hands you the uncut footage.
