We provide instruction and education in social dancing including:

We no longer have a dance studio but rent out space on Saturday evenings at the Best Western Golden Lion. By reducing overhead for costly studio space, we can then transfer those savings for reduced cost instruction without losing quality of instruction. Our fees for our quality instruction are the lowest in Anchorage guaranteed!

I started privatedancelessons in October 2016. Patrick and Roxanne created a program with me. As my goals were achieved, plans were updated. The education is formal.At the same time, I am having so much fun! Dancing is terrific exercise and mind work. I thrilled with my progress... getting rhythm and learning to follow the leader.Back 2 Basics is a gem! I will keep dancing with Patrick and Roxanne... the Waltz next!

If you are serious about learning how to dance, and you want instructors who know how to teach, Back 2 Basics dance is your place! Roxanne and Patrick are truly professionals, and their knowledge is extensive. I am always amazed at the next level they can take you to on such a wide variety of dance styles!

This is the best instruction anyone can receive at such a great price! Scheduled lessons and classes are consistently reliable and the high quality of instruction truly translates into the good performance of the student. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
For private lessons, we charge $65/hr for a couple and $40/hr for an individual. We also offer package rates for prepaid lessons.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We offer a 30 minute free consultation to review a new client's goals in order to create a lesson plan that matches the client's goals in what they would like to learn and achieve.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Roxanne has a Bachelor's in Arts degree in Theatre and Dance from the University of New Hampshire as well as Teacher Certification in Social Dance from Starlight Ballroom-San Diego, CA. Patrick has Teacher Certification training from the Fred Astaire Dance Studio-Anchorage, AK.
