FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing for photo products is available on my website. Boudoir packages start at $150 for a one-hour session. I have a brochure for standard wedding packages, but as mentioned above, I like to maintain flexibility with my pricing. My clients are free to pick and choose and I will do my best to help them stay within their budget. All other assignments are quoted on an individual basis.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have traveled all over the world to attend intensive workshops and seminars with prominent photography professionals. (Hint: it wasn't cheap!) I am constantly reading up on photography tips and techniques. Basic principles are fairly static, but technology changes rapidly and constantly. It's important to keep up with new advancements if you want to stay competitive. I shoot almost every day.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
I have heard so many sad stories of wedding days ruined by bad photography or worse: photos never received, photographer didn't show up or had equipment failure. You don't get a second chance with wedding photography -- unlike other photography venues, you have to get it right the first time. Besides your rings and your vows, your photos are one of the few things that will last forever. The cake, the food, the dress, the flowers, and yes, eventually, even the hangovers will go away. ;O) It's surprising how much money people are willing to spend on the temporary wedding expenses, only to scrimp on their photos. Familiarize yourself with the photographer's range and style. If their work is representative of what you hope to achieve in your images, arrange to meet in person. Write down any questions or concerns you may have and make sure they are addressed to your complete satisfaction. Ask for references and endorsements by former clients. Ask about their formal training and work experience. Compare prices and services offered. Be wary of "photographers" who offer very low rates.
