- How did you get started doing this type of work?
My husband is disabled and I have 4 children. I have always been a "stay-at-home" mom, but felt the need to contribute to the income of our family. Cleaning is very important to me. In my home, if everyone is healthy we are happier. So I decided that becoming a private housekeeper would be perfect for me!! My kids say I am the "best mom ever" but that I suffer from OCD :) What better way to apply my talents? Now I can set my own schedule, be my own boss, clean like crazy and still be a "stay-at-home mom".
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Each job is different. It really depends on the needs of each client. Some people need a basic cleaning once a week or a deep cleaning once a month. Some clients want every cabinet, drawer and closet organized before a cleaning schedule is established. Others may not want you to open any drawers or a certain closet. That is why I take the time to get to know my clients and figure out what works for them. After all, it is their home. It has to suit their lifestyle. However, I respect my clients homes as I do my own. Therefore, I clean it like I do my own home.
