I offer individualized instruction in all core content areas. I specialize in ACT/SAT preparation in addition to upper-level Math and Science. In addition, I hold an Alabama teaching certificate in secondary Mathematics and was deemed "highly qualified" by the Alabama State Board of Education. With over 14 years of classroom experience, I know how to meet the needs of today's diverse learners, and I use a variety of technology tools to help along the way. I provide most content materials for all sessions.
I have a passion for teaching a learning. After leaving the classroom 10 years ago to pursue a Central Office position, I found that I missed the day to day interaction with students. Tutoring gives me the chance to fulfill my need to make a difference in the life of a child - or an adult learner going back to school. Learning can happen at any age - it's magic waiting to happen!

As a more seasoned student, Faith has managed to make math simple. She was able to explain plots and equations in an easier manner. 1st session was great! Faith is giving me confidence in my math skills.

Faith is a terrific tutor. Her calm nature makes my son comfortable. She knows what she's doing and it's obvious she is the best of the best. She is also willing to go above and beyond. Once, I contacted her at the last minute because my son had an algebra exam the next day and he was really worried about it. Faith's daughter was sick so she couldn't meet us, yet she offered to go online and help my son. He aced the exam the following day! Don't hesitate -- she's the tutor for you.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge according to the course and location. I will charge more to tutor for college courses than I will for middle school math. If we meet at a central location where I can arrange for several appointments, then I can also save you money!
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
As a tutor, I view myself as a vital part of a student's educational team. My first priority with any new student is to make them feel comfortable working with me. I do that by including them in the decision making process about their tutoring goals and the plan we will use to achieve the goal. I want each student to know that I am genuinely interested in their success, and that I am there for them.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Master's degree in Mathematics, and I hold a valid Alabama teaching certificate in the area of secondary education (grades 6 - 12).
In addition, I am a certified online trainer. I have tutored online for over 13 years and have conducted numerous professional development sessions for teachers in an online environment. I can do the same thing for your student.
