John was great with our older cat Louie. He sent text updates and let us know the times he would be stopping by. We will definitely use him again!Dec 18, 2015Verified
John was great! Our dogs are Weims and can be anxious. John took the time to get to know them before we left. He kept us updated via text and pictures. Will definitely use him again!Dec 8, 2015Verified
John is great with Dogs! One of my dogs is a bit aggressive and John took the time and had the patience for her to warm up to him. John also emailed and texted me updates daily.Apr 30, 2015Verified

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? The pricing isn't complicated. It is mostly based on the time needed for a particular visit. I start with a base fee of $15 for a 30 minute visit, but with the travel time to and from the owners' house, that really means $15 for 50-60 minutes of time. Shorter visits are less, longer visits are more, depending on what the owners want. There are some extra small fees for giving meds, or for caring for several pets, but those are gone through with the owners before assignments are finalized.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I have taken one online course on pet sitting, I have read three books on it, and I am currently going through a manual for pet sitting certification through Pet Sitters International.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?On the one hand, I had been dissatisfied with the work I had been doing. I also found myself in need of more income. Some people who knew of my love of animals and who had used pet sitters before said they thought that kind of work would be a perfect match for me.
