FAQs
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I get a lot of requests for smaller handyman jobs, like door installs or small interior/exterior paints. I love to do those, when I am in between my company's bigger jobs.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
It would have to be a recent job where the homeowner asked me to paint her faded front door. No big deal, right? Well, after I got half way through the painting of it, she decided that she didn't want that color (which she had already bought herself). She decided on a dark brown, and I covered the door with it. A nice finish. She paid me for the paint job, plus a little extra for the extra time to redo the door. Everybody was happy. 3 days later her mother-in-law told her how much she hated the plain brown front door. We all can imagine the psychological button poking there. She called me, very upset, and asked me to please do something, ANYTHING to the front door to quiet her mother-in-law ( I actually cannot use the specifics of what she said, but you get the point). The antiqued front door photo I have listed is the finished product, and it took about 8 hours. Now we were ALL happy.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Do not be reckless in choosing a contractor. There are a few bad apples than can give us all a black eye at times. Be careful of those trying to "sell" it too hard. Those of us that do well in our work, already know it. None of us get every job we bid on. If we are honest in our delivery, diligent in our work, and thorough in our completion, then it will speak for itself.
