FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We prefer to met with our customers on site and discuss their issues, concerns and ideas for the project at hand. From here we offer suggestions as needed and come up with a plan. Once everyone is satisfied with the plan we compose a formal itemized estimate for our customers to review. Once the estimate is approved and a deposit is made we proceed with the project.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
We are licensed by the state of Alabama for landscaping installation and Rachel has her Landscape Design Certification through the Auburn University Extension Office.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Jonathan started Deep Roots Landscaping 9 years ago after working for a local large nursery. During his time Hannah's Garden Shop he discovered he was able to identify the needs of customers and offer solutions with is wide variety of plant knowlege. Coming from a forestry background made him very passionate about outdoor spaces. He started installing the plans and plants he advised for his customers on the weekends while continuing his weekdays at the nursery. After working 7 days a week for a year he saved up and purchased his first company truck and started Deep Roots. Deep Roots has grown over the last nine years and now offers commercial and residential landscape maintenance as well as installation. We also install drainage solutions and offer grading and land clearing services as well. Rachel joined Deep Roots in January of 2016. She now has her Landscape Design Certification from the Auburn University Extension Office and designs plans and seasonal color for our customers.
