I am very pleased with the work Mr McGuire has done for me and my dog Ginger thus far. Our first lesson was over an hour and my dog, Ginger, was eager to learn. The exercises Mr McGuire taught me are working. I am looking forward to next weeks lessons. I would recommend Shenandoah K9 Training.
My husband and I got a puppy and we starting obedience training with Confident Canines when she was about 10 weeks old. They worked wonders for us and our puppy! She can now walk on a leash beside us, sit, lay down, stay, come, wait for her food until told she can eat, etc. Confident Canines was very flexible with our schedules and easy to work with. I would highly recommend them for dog training.
NIck works well with the dogs. He enjoys what he does and it shows. He wants what is best for the dogs. He is very knowledgeable and works with a professional attitude. I wouldn't hesitate to take any of my dogs to Nick for training or help with a problem that I am having with any of my dogs.
Mike was easy to work with and helped teach me and my son how to train our two large pups using common sense strategies and positive reinforcements. After only 2 lessons they are following directions and obeying commands. Highly recommend!
Kimberly was my 3rd trainer for our dog and her ways were very helpful. We've had 4 other dogs and we were able to train them, but this dog is a bit problematic. He has many issues and Kimberly helped to make him a loved part of our family. He would not do well at a kennel and we have also used Kimberly's boarding services. Anyone hiring a dog trainer should talk with that trainer at length and make sure that you understand their style. Kimberly will not train your dog, but train you to train your dog- which is a much better way. She did bring her infant son to some of our lessons, but he was not a distraction and I really didn't care.
I have a dog named max. He was 4 months old when I contacted Kim Brown. He was a puppy he had some bad habits. He was a chewer wasn't potty trained and wouldn't walk on a leash. He had a great personality but I had not ideal were to start. So Kim told me to start class and she would help me with these issues. At first I struggled a bit Kim explained each situation and helped me thru everyone. There were other dogs in class that were doing well so I keep faith and continued class therw were many challenges but over come them all. Some of the other dogs had other issues such as dog aggression cowardice and bitters. I watch these dogs go from coming in with these issues to becoming a well behaved and great companion. Max is completely potty trained now he can walk set half way down and come. U will learn so much more Kim will answer any questions you have. It will be the best investment you ever make for you and your pet. I now have a great bond with max and I feel I have Kim Brown to thank for all this. I hope you all Kim to assist you in ur dog training needs. I give her a double thumbs up.
Trained my dog to be a medical assistance dog within 1 year and still works with her on occasion. Melinda cares about animals and seems to have a gift in animal/human communication/interaction. Her prices are fair and often below most other professionals within the industry.
Great job of tailoring training to the owner and dog. Has great enthusiasm for what she is doing and loves what she is doing. I have two dogs with vastly different personalities, and she was able to adapt training styles for their personalities. One of mine even passed her CGC test recently after training with Joanna.

PTR provides private in-home one on one lessons focusing on positive reinforcement. The more you show your dog that he/she is doing the right thing instead of telling them they're always doing the wrong thing, the more they will want to do the right thing to please you. Dogs are social creatures and by nature, they want to be with their human. They also need a leader. If they do not have a leader, they will try to become the leader and that is where a lot of behavioral problems stem from. The more the dog sees you as a leader, the more calm and happy your home will be.
