- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
After the initial inquiry, I love to follow up with a phone call or coffee date to talk to my potential clients about several big aspects of finding the right photographer for them. I go over packages, add-ons, album design, prints, timelines for the day of, other vendor recommendations, what gear I use so they know how their images will be protected, and then the process of hiring me all the way to the gallery delivery. Its definitely a lot to talk about but I want my clients to feel confident in choosing the right photographer for them.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
I would 100% recommend having a phone call with their potential vendor. The wedding market is oversaturated with photographers but knowing what makes a photographer different can help you make a decision. Know how they protect your images during and after the wedding day. Make sure they have the correct equipment for the job. Lighting is something that is crucial in case it rains and the ceremony has to be moved to a darker inside area. Just make sure to go over the details with whomever you talk to for your wedding photography. Contracts are a must! They protect you and the photographer. 100% do not hire someone that is not professional enough to have a contract for an event like a wedding. Weddings are something that cannot be redone and knowing that you are hiring a professional is crucial.
