- How did you get started doing this type of work?
My Dad built cabinets and had General Contracting business and I worked for him and another General Contactor through high school and 2 years of college until a family friend gave me a summer job in Commercial Air Conditioning. I stayed at the company 12 years until he retired and I left to try my first business venture with my supervisor, lasting 6 months.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Talk to person on phone and have a conversation including the work but make it more than just the project, listen to what they say and how they say it and see what your gut tells you. Reviews are good but can be manulipated and like myself who just joined, is not the only form of reference.
