- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
we meet with the customer to determine the level of service needed and talk about what works best for them and how they would like the service accomplished. (time, specific service detail)
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
we are animal lovers and have had dogs and cats since we were both young children. (over 50 years!) we have both taken several dog training courses with our own dogs so have a good base for how to help with training. We do not have a training certification. For our Home Watch Service I have quite a bit of experience in mechanical and electrical from my time in the US Navy. I am able to inspect and evaluate homes.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
The business started when we moved to Fort Myers. We knew from experience with our own pets that they do not like going to a kennel while we were away. They would come back dirty and anxious. We knew many people in Fort Myers want to go on vacations, day trips, or will be away all day at work and need someone to walk, feed and care for their pets while they are away. We have found that pets do best when staying in their own homes with surroundings they are familiar with while the owners are away. Our love for animals and experience we have had caring for pets in general over many years meets the need pet owners have for the care of their pets.
