Helping you achieve Fun & Excellence in social dance. I can help you feel comfortable on the dance floor, so when the music gives you 'Happy Feet,' you can join the fun! I teach social dance skills, so that you can improve your social capital. If you desire to go the competition route, I can refer you to professionals who can help you achieve your dreams. I teach through advanced level two-step, polka, waltz, and east-coast and west-coast swing. I also teach DVIDA bronze-level foxtrot, waltz, cha-cha, rumba, and night-club 2-step.

I teach country and western dance lessons. I have been teaching this type of dance for 6 years. The dance lessons include basics of the 2-step, triple step, waltz, freestyle, and line dances. After the basic steps have been successfully learned, or the student has prior knowledge of the basic step patterns, I teach advanced lessons, including combination steps with turns. I will try to locate dance steps for special requests, and I will supply music for parties (and lessons, if requested). I offer "free dance lessons" to the public at "The Electric Cowboy, Inc." night club, located on the service road of I-30 south in Little Rock, AR. These lessons are given every Sunday night, from 7:30 - 9pm. The lessons are over the same dances listed above. Please contact me for more information or to schedule lessons. Happy trails! Anita

I work strictly for the passion and expression of dance. For dancers and choreographers, we are at the bottom of the totem pole of artists, so we strive for the attention and importance of dance. I teach my styles with everything I have because dancing goes so far for me. It has always been my strong point in life and my number 1 hobby. I've always eaten, slept, and breathed dance. I had to move to a very isolated part of the united states, so my time and talent has always been limited to others, that;s why I try to reach out to people.

I was on a dance team at Bryant High School (a 13-time state championship winning team and nationally ranked) from 6th grade to 12th grade, so I have plenty of knowledge in dance team skills. I also have gone to studio in two different studios for 5 years, so I also have knowledge in studio dance. I also teach a dance class at Boys and Girls Club of Bryant and just recently made Universal Dance Association staff. I have excellent references to give, and I hope that you would wish to talk to me for privates!

Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

How much do dance lessons cost?

Adults who want to learn to dance, whether to prepare for a wedding or to meet new people, often enjoy taking dance lessons from an experienced dance instructor. Instructors may offer classes one-on-one to individual students or couples, or to small groups. The national average cost for a dance instructor ranges from $30 to $50. Some studios offer a discounted introductory lessons or group lessons, as well as package deals that are more affordable than paying for individual lessons. Some dance instructors will travel to the student’s home, which usually costs more, while others hold small-group sessions in their studios. If you choose a small-group class, expect to pay less than for individual dance lessons.
