- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
While I have basic, affordable rates, there are variances in place for more complex or time consuming cases such as medical issues, anxiety or aggression.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have an extensive library of both the ebook and hard copy variety, as well as several publications and an ever expanding DVD library of animal behavior, training and health care topics. I attend seminars in person when possible, though I love to acquire them in DVD format as I can watch them again and again. With new scientific discoveries being published all the time about the way dogs learn, there is always something new for me to keep up on. I read, watch and follow Internet resources as well as other trainers.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Having a lifelong love affair with animals that permeates every aspect of my life, a career in pet care was a natural fit for me. Once I started to learn more about behavior, it was a natural evolution to dog training certification, a membership with the Association of Professional Dog Trainers and then my own business in training and pet sitting.
