I've had pets all of my life and I've been professionally taking care of other people's pets for 6 years. I've volunteered for the AZ Humane Society, Saving One Life Animal Rescue, and Wildlife Zoo and Aquarium. I love all animals and I'm open to exotic animals too!
I love to cuddle and relax with the pets in my home. I understand shy pets, aggressive pets, and special needs pets and have no difficulty working with them and earning their trust. In the case of special needs animals, I have significant experience giving meds and subcutaneous injections/fluids when necessary. I have a fenced in yard and a doggy door available for pet use!
I work from home full time so I am nearly always home! I've setup my desk so that I can sit on the couch and cuddle with the pets and play a little bit of fetch while I work. I'm off work on the weekends! I like to try to take them to the dog park on Saturdays :)
Safety is a top priority for me! I have a small fenced yard that I pick the dog poop up from every day. When pets make a mess inside, I always clean with a mixture of vinegar and water to keep them safe. I attempt to respond to messages as soon as I get them, and strive to respond within 4 hours at the latest. If I notice anything seems off with your pet (blood in urine, skin tags, weepy eyes, frequent itching are just a few examples), I will let you know immediately and take your pet to the nearest vet, or your preferred vet, per your request.
I have a couple of baby gates up around the house to ensure the dogs stay nearby and don't get into anything they shouldn't.
For additional comfort for you pets, please bring something (a bed, blanket, etc) that smells like home! It really gives them a sense of comfort to have that familiarity.
Visiting cats get their own large room away from any of my pets (or other visiting animals) while they adjust. Cats absolutely need their own area to destress in. I provide the same to anxious dogs.
