- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Home inspecting was a very natural transition for me; I have been in and around home construction for 30 years. My position as a remodeling contractor provided the experience that I needed by giving me an all around knowledge of homes. I do not come from just one specific field (plumber, hvac, etc.), but have a rounded set of skills from working in all fields of the business.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I provide the Home Inspection itself along with making a conclusive report, educating my customers, and working around their schedule.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
When searching for a Home Inspector. Verify that they are certified within the state you are purchasing the home. Make sure they are insured, and look for additional certifications. i.e. ASHI, NACHI, BBB, etc. Also make sure that they have the experience to perform quality experience.
