This is the first time we tried mobile pet grooming and it will definitely not be our last. Lance was wonderful with our dogs and we couldn't be happier with the job he did. I highly recommend him for anyone in the market for a mobile pet grooming service.

Usually our dog Ty goes to the groomer he comes back tired, stressed out and very sad. I decided to try mobile pet grooming to see how he would do. Ty looked and smelled fantastic and was wagging his tail as soon as he walked in the front door. Ty was in and out in about an hour! I definitely will be using Natural Pet Mobile Grooming going forward. Thank you for the kindness and warmth you showed my senior pet. 5 Stars for sure!!!

Michelle has been grooming my dogs for almost 10 years! We have boarded our dogs here and we have loved the phenomenal service she provides. Currently we only have one dog and Chance always looks perfect. I trust her completely and I am so grateful we found her. I moved further north into cave creek but always get our dogs groomed with her due to the excellent service. Great place, great people, happy dogs 💛

I needed some serious help with my pitbull who had become impossible to walk on a leash. He lunged at other dogs and pulled me wherever he wanted to. Anton Yablonsky evaluated my dog AND myself, came up with a plan and started right away change the interaction between Nigel and myself. He was professional and explained how we would do things during his training and why. His approach was firm, but kind and his love for what he does is quite evident. Four years later and I still have an obedient, well behaved companion. And four years later I know that Anton will be there to answer any questions I may have. I wouldn't use or recommend any one else or any other method of training.

      About

Been serving Gilbert since 1988, family owned and operated. We love your pet likes it our. “We paws to please” 🐾💕

      About

I walk dogs, give dogs baths and clip nails. I love all breeds of dogs and I love working with dogs and showing dogs in dog shows.

      About

We offer complete professional grooming for all breeds of dogs and cats at our clinic. Certain breeds especially those with long hair that mats easily may need assistance keeping themselves clean. Animals that are older or have physical disabilities may also benefit from our grooming services. If your pet is having trouble taking care of regular grooming, it can be a sign of an underlying health issue. Be sure to mention this when you schedule an appointment. You can also call us anytime to discuss your concerns. During your pets' grooming session, he or she will receive a bath in specially formulated shampoo tailored to his or her individual needs as well as a haircut of your choice, a nail trim, and ear cleaning. We will also check and clean your pet's eyes, paws, and pads. We know how to keep your pet calm and comfortable during grooming, so if a bath or nail trim is normally stressful, you can let us take care of those responsibilities so you and your pet can relax. Besides just making your pet look and smell good, grooming provides health benefits. Regular brushing helps remove dead hair, mats, and dirt and distributes natural oils throughout the fur, keeping the coat clean and healthy. Trimming hair around the face, ears, paw pads, and other areas can help prevent infections and irritation and keep debris from accumulating. Trimming nails can prevent joint pain, stiffness, and chiropractic problems. In addition to providing grooming services, we can teach you techniques to help keep your pet well-groomed. Feel free to ask for a product recommendation or browse our pet-safe shampoos, conditioners, and other grooming products in our reception area.

      Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

What is included in a dog grooming?

Dog grooming is so much more than giving your dog a bath. Dog grooming is a broad term that covers all aspects of canine cleanliness and hygiene. The services included in dog grooming will vary based on your needs and what you choose to pay. Unless they are rolling in cowpies or playing in mud puddles, most dogs are okay getting a shampoo bath only as needed. You’ll know when they need it if they smell bad or are bringing dirt into the house. Some dogs, like shepherds and shih tzus, have thick coats that can get matted and tangled without regular care. Pro dog groomers can deftly blow dry a dog’s hair after a bath so that it is shiny and smooth. Dog grooming can include brushing that detangles dog hair and also thins the undercoat to minimize shedding.

Dog grooming also includes hygiene services such as toothbrushing and ear cleaning. Clean teeth are important to the health of your dog, and the pros have the patience and proper technique to get it done. Regular dog grooming can stave off tear stains, those reddish stains below your dog’s eyes. Anal gland expression is something not many people want to do on their own, even if they love their dog. A dog groomer can safely and efficiently release any blocked anal gland fluid. Other dog grooming services include nail trimming and clipping. Nationally, dog grooming prices range from $60 to $80. Most dog groomers offer discounts to customers who purchase monthly packages or bundle multiple grooming services at one time.

      What is a dog groomer?

A dog groomer is a service professional who provides dog grooming and basic hygiene care for your dog. Dog groomers are typically animal lovers who are competent and comfortable working with a wide range of dog breeds and temperaments. Dog groomers are knowledgeable about the care needs for different kinds of dog coats. A poodle will have different haircut needs than a shih tzu, for example, so it pays to have a trained pro provide the proper cut. Good dog groomers know how to safely clean your dog’s teeth, bathe your dog, and cut their nails without going too short. They understand how to trim the hair from around your dog’s face, express anal glands, and clean your dog’s ears. Many people who choose dog grooming as a profession also pursue other dog services such as attending veterinary school, running a doggy day care center, working as a professional dog walker, and more.

      What is a dog groomer?

Keep your family dogs happy, healthy and clean with regular dog grooming. A dog groomer is a business owner or employee of a dog grooming business who specializes in dog hygiene and grooming. To find a reputable dog groomer, research reviews, ask for references and confirm that the groomer has good standing in the dog grooming community.

A dog groomer should be comfortable and competent working with dogs of all breeds and temperaments. Typically a groomer will have trained with other groomers and taken educational courses to keep abreast of the latest safety information and techniques. There are brick-and-mortar dog grooming businesses, as well as mobile dog groomers who bring all their equipment and provide their services at your home or location. In some cases, brick-and-mortar businesses will also pick up and return your dog for an additional fee.

How much does it cost to groom a dog?

Dog grooming costs depend on the service your pet requires. Nationally, the average price for dog grooming ranges from $40 to $100, varying by location. Not surprisingly, dog grooming on New York’s Upper East Side costs nearly double what it costs in a small town in Montana. Dog groomers typically handle every aspect of your dog’s beauty and hygiene, from tooth brushing to hairstyling. One potential way to save is to have your dog groomed at your doggy daycare — sometimes they offer discounts on dog grooming prices for clients. Here are some examples of average dog grooming costs in the San Francisco Bay Area. Please note these prices would include transportation fees for picking up and dropping off your dog to your home:

      • Nails: $30 a la carte or $20 when bundled with another service
      • Toothbrushing: $30 a la carte or $20 when bundled with another service
      • Tooth scraping (removal of plaque from teeth to prevent infection), with anesthesia: $600
      • Tooth scraping, without anesthesia: $400.
      • Wash and dry: $60
      • Ears: $30 a la carte or $20 when bundled with another service
      • Grooming package: $130 — includes wash, nails, teeth, ears, gland expression and haircut

What vaccines do dogs need to be groomed?

It’s important to make sure your dog is up to date on its vaccines before taking it to a groomer. Vaccinations keep your dog and the other dogs that use the establishment healthy. Viruses can linger long after a dog is gone, so an unvaccinated dog can infect a number of other dogs days or even months after their visit. Find out about your dog groomer’s vaccination policies, and think carefully about receiving services from a company that does not require vaccinations. Here are the main vaccinations that are generally required for dog grooming:

      • Parvovirus: Parvo is a nasty virus that can kill dogs within 48-72 hours of infection. The virus is incredibly persistent and, according to the American Veterinary Medical Association, is resistant to heat, cold, humidity and drying. It’s spread by dog-to-dog contact or contact with contaminated feces, environments (food and water bowls, collars and leashes, etc.,) or people.
      • Adenovirus 2: Dogs receive this vaccination to protect against canine infectious hepatitis. The vaccination can also helps prevent canine cough.
      • Canine distemper virus: Distemper has no known cure and can cause serious pain, illness, and even death, although recovery is possible with medical intervention.
      • Rabies: This disease attacks the central nervous system and — when untreated — will
      • lead to death. The CDC recommends euthanizing an unvaccinated animal that has been exposed to rabies, although six-month isolation followed by vaccination is also permissible.
      • Para-influenza: Canine para-influenza leads to kennel cough and an unhappy dog.
Hire skilled professionals for absolutely everything.
