Ty is an outstanding guitar instructor. His method of teaching brings out the best in each individual player. There is something new to learn and practice, and he records each session, and then sends an email to you promptly the next day with suggestions on what to practice.
Ty makes it FUN TO LEARN!!!

Do not hesitate to start your musical journey with East Mesa School of Guitar. I have been taking adult lessons for about 6 months. There are high school students in the class before me, and accomplished players in the class after. Ty and his staff bring both a professionalism and passion that I have seen in very few instructors. Although the lessons are in a group setting, all of my individual needs and goals are addressed. Through their teaching methods and enthusiasm, Ty and Fred have created an environment where practicing and lessons are the highlight of my day, rather than something I “have to do”. You will be playing music from your first session on! Ty and Fred have been phenomenal instructors, and Melissa has handled all business transactions flawlessly. Five stars for EMSOG is not enough!

Ty is an amazing guitar teacher! Not only is he incredibly knowledgable about a wide variety of guitar styles, he is a down to earth, friendly guy who makes lessons both fun and effective. A great choice for both beginners and advanced players. Take a chance with Ty and you wont regret it!

After 3 months with Ty my skill has improved immensely! Ty has taught me what I've wanted to learn right from the start. From mastering blues scales & all positions on the guitar neck. Ty gets right to it. My friends and family tell me they've noticed a huge difference in my playing. I highly recommend the East Mesa School of Guitar.

Ty brings a teaching style that is unique. Ty finds your passion , helps you identify and develope it. His style of instruction opens your doors to a creative path. I have had many instuctors prior to Ty. He has been the only one that has made learning, practice and progression easy, fun and personal. Three + years with him and my playing has pleasantly, surprisingly and confidently grown beyond my own expectations.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Since everyone has different goals, schedule constraints, and budgets we offer several learning formats and tuition structures. Since a one-size-fits-all approach has never worked for us, we don't expect our students to settle either.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We understand all students have different needs and only want what's in their best interest. That said we always meet with new students for a complimentary consultation and lesson before moving forward. This allows a student the chance to "kick the tires" before making any obligation. In fact, we've even helped find students opportunities with other instructors if needed.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
We periodically travel to teaching conferences around the country to train with some of the finest music educators in the business. The information from these conference keeps us informed on the latest, and most successful, music education techniques being used. Plus, we regularly participate in music instruction based continuing education classes to make sure we practice what we preach.
