I’m a dedicated guitar teacher with over 25 years of experience playing and teaching many styles, including rock, blues, classical, jazz, and folk. While I especially love classical music and fingerstyle technique, I use those skills to help students grow in whatever style they’re most excited about.
My lessons combine practical playing with essential musical skills: music theory, ear training, technique, and appreciation for different genres. Every student gets a personalized approach based on their goals and interests, while also being challenged to explore new styles and ideas.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I offer either 45 minute ($25) or 1 hour ($35) lessons. 30 minutes is too short to really get anything accomplished. I recommend 1 hour sessions to get the most out of each lesson.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I find importance in first seeing where a new student stands in terms of knowledge, experience, and technique. From there, I might make some suggestions based on what new information and skills the student should learn, as well as help him or her fulfill personal interests and goals.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I took private lessons for 15 years and had some high school and college training as well.
