FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes - since I got my Interior Design degree, I've gained certifications in Resign & Staging as well as a certification in working with seniors. Plus the professional organizations I belong to require continuing education units to keep abreast of innovations and new products in the world of interior design.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Many of our clients are Do-It-Yourselfers who are afraid of wasting money or making mistakes. We can show them how to prioritize their projects, offer guidance and instruction, offer a room-by-room analysis and check lists and provide online and local resources. Others want shopping guidance, room redesigns and staging or more indepth design services.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
A couple who relocated from back East moved into a rental condo for one year while looking for a home to purchase. Bringing few furnishings with them, they were having difficulty coming up with a design style since their tastes were dramatically different - she had family antiques and memorabilia while he preferred contemporary art and clean-lined furnishings. On a budget, they wanted their temporary abode to look warm and inviting while only purchasing pieces that could be used in their future home. We rearranged and staged the pieces they already had, finding ways for the disparate styles to live harmoniously and did some judicious shopping adding pieces to pull the whole thing together. They were happy with the results and we all look forward to working together in their new home.
