I want to tell a quik story about Michael McBride. While performing with my band 'Outside the Line' in Downtown Chandler for the Art Walk a man walked up and introduced himself as a photographer and politely asked if he may take some pics of the band playing. "Sure!" Thinking nothing of it we traded cards and went on about the evening. He said he'd send us some copies. I didn't expect much, we get this all the time. What I saw when he quikly forwarded us some pics was simply beautiful. Extremely clear and vibrantly colorful pics of great moments in our performance. Like he knew us somehow. Wierd but true. I posted one of me playing my sax as my FB profile pic and in one day had over 70 likes and several comments stating nice pic and you look so cool. What I liked about the pic most of all is it showed the energy and heart I put into performing. In one pic. Thats a talent as far as photography in my opinion and many of the pics he shared showed similar passion. Since then I've seen much more of Michaels work and even struck up a bit of a friendship. He's a very nice guy in person and even has that quirky enjoyable oddness that artists always seem to bring to life. A real pleasure to work with in that respect. Like him on FB and use him for your functions. He also has the professional sincerity needed in some situations... An intelligent artist of photograghy!

I met Michael through a mutual friend and he introduced himself as a freelance photographer. I needed some professional portraits for my website. He was quick to respond to my call. He arrived early and set up his lighting. He took several different shots to set up the lighting properly. As a real estate broker you need a certain style to the picture, and Michael excelled to find the correct balance of shadow and light. I was amazed with the results. In my office the walls are a pastel green, and I thought that would be great for a professional portrait, but Michael asked if we could try a few shots another way. He quickly returned to his car and came back with a giant disk he called a reflector. I was amazed at the difference in the shoot. His camera was attached directly to his lap top, so I could see each picture as it was taken. After we had 5 pictures I thought we're good, he packed up his stuff and said it might be a day before the post editing was done. I wasn't sure what he meant, but he left and later that same day I received an e-mail with the 5 shots back. They were amazing. I'm not sure what he did but the pictures were so dynamic. Through the entire shoot we joked and laughed. I don't really like my picture being taken, but Michael made me feel at ease. It didn't seem like a photo shoot at all. If I could say one thing about Michael that he needs to improve is his business acumen. I was lucky to meet him through a mutual friend, but it needs a better presence. That's the unfortunate thing with artists like Michael. They think more about the job their doing and less about how to get his next one,

Michael completed several headshots I needed for social media, as well as for my business cards. He was on time, professional and brought the studio to me. We did have trouble getting the lighting just right, but Michael worked through it very quickly.

I have had the pleasure of working with Michael for portrait photography, in addition to being a recipient of nature photographs that he has taken of the Arizona desert. I can honestly say that he has an eye for beauty and angles that not many possess, and while he may be new to the photography arena, he has definite potential to be a long lasting successful photographer. The only suggestion that I would give in the way of improvement is being given the opportunity to accrue more experience, because with experience comes the ability to increase his portfolio and expand his talent into new territory, as well as to strengthen the natural talent he already has.

Mike was incredible! In short terms he cared deeply, and was extremely passionate about what he was doing for our engagement and our wedding. My family and myself will continue to use his services. He was thorough and creative taking all the pictures, coming up with poses. We love every picture he's given us that he puts so much emotion into the shots. I would recommend Mike McBride to anyone looking for a great photographer.
