To be spot on although i am from Brooklyn New York and raised on food stamps and a mother with a third grade education, compounded by a well-meaning but tired behind the scenes, misguided dad, still i rise. Without completion of any real formal education. Just a few scattered attempts at finishing but frequent libraries when i skip out on my entire High School education. I have accumulated some odd 50 college credits mostly a focus on psychology and writing over a ten year period. I had a 1.8 GPA never cared about traditional learning, only desired to master language and understanding. It never mattered whether raised by wolves in Fortgreen Projects or academic doves by the Brooklyn Heights. It was and is- all good.

THE SCORE SPEAKS FOR ITSELF. In March of 2015 my son took his first SAT in the spring semester of his Junior year in High School. He has always had an excellent command of English and had not felt the need to seek additional tutoring in preparation. This first shot at the SAT gave him a Writing score of 690 in the Reading portion (within the 95th percentile) and 660 in the Writing portion (within the 92nd percentile). Although we were pleased with his scores, his college counselor however, had already gotten to know him well by this point and thought that with a little guidance and knowledge of testing techniques there could be room for improvement. She recommended we contact Ms. Flowers who immediately started working with him in anticipation of the next SAT test date just a few months away the following June. They worked diligently meeting about once per week until test day. Test day came along and my son took the test and felt very confident upon completion. The results proved the decision and extra effort to tutor with Ms. Flowers was well worth it. The June test score for Reading jumped 90 points to 780 (scoring in the 99th percentile) and the Writing score jumped 50 points to 710 (scoring in the 96th percentile). This was no coincidence, it was due to Ms. Flowers tutoring. Of note, my son is gifted but must also deal with ADD. She knew exactly how to work with him to get the job done. Thank you Ms. Flowers!
