- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
The pricing for my hair styling services depends on what type of event I am styling for, the hair style chosen, and length of the clients hair. I send out a contract with my list of prices for ever client that hires me so that they review it and choose the best option to fit their needs.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Hair Styling has always been a passion of mine since I was in High School. I started with doing my family and friends hair for any special events they had, and realized along the way that I wanted to turn my passion into a business so that I could experience more of it. Four years ago I did just that and started my hair styling business as Shannon Marie Styling. It has been one of the best and most rewarding decisions I have ever made.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
When hiring a hair stylist, one of my biggest recommendations is to look at their portfolio of work. Make sure they have plenty of pictures of their work and an array of different styles shown.
