I contacted Kelly after working with another talented designer who just was not able to help me define and execute the right vision for my family’s home. Enter Kelly. She took her time to understand how we got to the current state and with few changes was able to redirect our home and create the soothing environment I was seeking. Kelly provided honest feedback, brought recommendations that solved design issues I had been grappling with for over a year, and didn’t try to oversell or upsell me on anything. Lighting, rugs, paint color, tile backsplash and countertops… everything she selected was something to be excited about out… it just worked, was timeless, not “builder grade” boring but not screaming in your face either. Not only has Kelly been responsive but she is easy and enjoyable to work with. We are so grateful for Kelly’s professionalism and expertise!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I am $150/hr and I do charge for the initial consultation. We need to make sure we’re a good fit and I am always handing out ideas and suggestions along the process. I can get a lot accomplished in an hour.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I usually start with a phone interview to get an idea of what the project entails, explain how I work, make sure we are a good fit and understand expectations. Next I would schedule a time for us to meet and review the project on site. Followed by an explanation of timeline and when they can expect to meet to review my design concepts.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I graduated from the College of Architecture at the University of Nebraska in Lincoln with a Bachelor of Science in Design.
I have worked 2 years in Hospitality Design (hotels) and 10+ years for a Residential Design Firm.
