I contacted this company the same day due to an emergency and was relieved when they said they could accommodate me. Over the phone, I clearly explained my budget constraints, and they agreed to the amount I had available. That verbal agreement was the only reason I moved forward. Unfortunately, the experience didn’t match what was promised. It took over 45 minutes to move a single (albeit heavy) dresser, and during the process, a wall was damaged—which I ended up repairing myself. Based on the agreed price, I expected approximately two hours for loading and two hours for unloading, which is consistent with what other movers have done for the same furniture. I also understood that drive time was included. In the end, I was charged $300 more than what was confirmed. I paid the full amount—part in cash and the rest via Zelle—because the job was done and I believe in honoring my end. However, I don’t feel the same courtesy was extended to me. The final price did not reflect our agreement, and the experience felt like a bait-and-switch. I would not have confirmed the booking had I known the cost would change. Transparency and integrity are key in this industry, and unfortunately, I didn’t feel that was upheld here.
