FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Fixed price for the massage. My massage usually runs about an hour and a half. I don't pay much attention to the clock, unless I have to.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Massage therapists are required to take 25 clock hours of approved training every two years. I take more than I need. In the last year, I completed classes in prenatal massage, cranial-cervical-thoracic release, and sacro-iliac release.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
My wife was involved in an accident years ago. After three surgeries and eight years, she wasn't getting any better. I had to work on her back every night just to let her get some sleep. One Christmas, I decided to get her a massage table, and it kind of took on a life of its own. I went to Phoenix College and earned an Associates degree. I am still amazed at how much massage therapy in all its forms can do.
