I like to think I stand out in my areas of speciality because of my flexibility and mobility while shooting. Many videographers, especially wedding and event shooters, are dependent on tripods to get their shots. That's great for stability and smoothness, but horrible for the adaptiveness and flexibility needed, especially at weddings, and even more especially when the wedding photographer is a seasoned professional and moves quickly and efficiently. I shoot on a shoulder-rig, which enables me to attach all the necessary lighting and audio gear to my camera while being able to keep up with the action and shoot a smooth, clean video. I'm able to capture more moments, not get in anyone's way, and give my client the best-quality footage possible.
Being a freelance videographer (or freelance anything) can definitely be difficult at times. There are no standard work hours, and it always happens that there's a week to finalize 6 months worth of projects, and we tend to spend over 50% of our revenues on coffee to keep us going (or maybe that's just me). What makes it worth it are the people. Every client and project is different, and getting to know them and their story is by far the favorite part of my job. Each wedding, each event, and each story is a new opportunity to meet people, make friends, and produce a wonderful product that they can be proud of!

My new husband and I recently hired Kaard as our wedding videographer and have have been very please with the services we received. He was very quick to respond to all emails, texts and thumbtack messages. He took the time to reassure me when I felt nervous about hiring someone I had never met, offering to meet up or send references.
Kaard arrived at to our wedding venue early (before the bridal party) to catch all of the details and then stayed late to capture our send off. He worked extremely well with our photographer and was very flexible during the event.
We felt as though he was our shadow through out the night, dancing with us, laughing with us and even popping into our photo booth to catch candid moments.
We are very happy with the services he provided, and will highly recommend him to anyone looking for a videographer.

If you are looking for an awesome videographer (who also happens to be affordable), Kaard is your guy! Kaard did an outstanding job throughout the duration of our wedding. He was courteous, attentive, and did not miss a beat. He worked well with my photographer to capture every important moment of our evening and we were so impressed. I have signed a contract and sent a deposit for my daughter's wedding in August. I want to make some adjustments and confirm some details for the upcoming wedding, so sent an email (May 23 = 5 weeks ago), but received no reply. Have followed up with a two phone calls and voice message, but no response. Left a message thru the thumbtack yesterday, but still nothing. Hopefully the poor review will get some attention, and either I will receive confirmation that we are still good to go on the wedding, or I'll get my money back, preferably the wedding video will be a go.
I also contacted Thumbtack just now, they are going to contact him, so hopefully this is all a misunderstanding, and the video will be great and this review can be changed from Poor to Excellent.

It's been 2 months since our wedding and I still have not received our video dvd for the event. I've already paid Kaard in full and yet i haven't received anything, he told me it would be done on Dropbox but I had technical difficulties and told him to mail me a copy through postal service and still haven't received anything. I'm really dissapointed, I had high hopes for his services. Even though he showed up the day of the event and what seemed like good service he hasn't completed his contract and becasue of that i gave him 2 stars, i wish i didn't have to but with his lack of communication (still hasn't given me status on my dvd) he left me no other choice. I really hope he fufills his argreement sooner rather than later before i have to take this to civil court, again i would hate to do this but he's left me no choice. he was the only video camera at our wedding and has left me with NO memories. Please ensure his complete services before hiring him.. I wish I could have gone with someone more professional. I will continue to try and contact him for my video, wish me luck!

We hired Kaard to film our wedding. We were married June 21, 2014. It is almost 5 months and we have not yet received our DVD! Kaard was very responsive up until the wedding, and up to a few weeks later. We sent our song selections within a week or two after our wedding, and he emailed back that we "rocked" as a couple (smoke and mirror trick). The last correspondence from Kaard (KB Films) was on August 18th when he emailed about 100 out of sequence 10 second random shots of our wedding. He promised the finished project once he returned from the Mushroom Festival. I noticed on his web site he posted the Mushroom Festival footage/pictures, so he returned safely. I can't understand why he would deceive us. After approximately 20 emails and six phone calls - still no response. Brides, DO NOT use KB Films. We are now without a video and looking at going to small claims court to recover the funds we paid in full.
