Check us out today!! C.L. Studio Voice Lesson, C.L. is the creator of A.R. Phonation (activation and release phonation) an exciting method based on the activation and release of vibration. A.R. Phonation is the study of our anatomy, and how sound is created. Lessons pin point areas of opportunity by breaking them down into four parts: the diaphragm, vocal tract, oral cavity, and nasal cavity. Identifying these areas will help us to understand what warm ups and exercises have the greatest impact, creating a method unique to each student and building the foundation to success. Acting Lessons, Acting lessons incorporate a mix of methods based on the idea of 'realism', and 'aesthetics' for both stage and film. C.L. is the creator of two major systems for achieving success. First, a "line of actions" will help us identify text vs. subtext vs. action. Secondly, we can use the "actors toolbox" to help elevate moments in script or develop depth/complexity of emotion. After our first four lesson students will be able to start scene work, acting with other C.L. Students in a group setting.* Intro to music Students will first learn the ionian mode, including every note and chords structure within that mode. After learning these notes, and chords students will begin to organize them into rhythm using a staff, thus creating music "organized sound" The connection between written music and improvised music will build the students ability to both free style and sight read harder pieces. This method created by C.L. Studio is both challenging, and rewarding.

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

$60 for a 45 min one on one lesson. bulk lesson discounts available

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I ask students to come to their first lesson with a song, or monologue in mind. We workshop the C.L. Studio method and then run the song/scene again. At that point I let the student tell me what has changed.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I studied Jazz/Commercial music ED. and then was accepted into A.M.D.A NYC to study performance and theatre. I believe that I have a great method because I have trained as both a teacher and an artist. So many time we focus on one or the other, but the true winner is a vocalist who is ALSO, a musician.
