The Look of the tree. I make them look perfect (in my opinion). I also take the clients opinion in mind before I take mine. I ask them what they want done before I deliver. This way I'm sure to give them exactly what they want while at the same time comparing their wants to the wants typically found from a professional point of view. In the end the clients wants always out weigh the wants of a professional point of view. This is why I have a very long list of happy clients. The level of health attained from doing this job. It keeps life very interesting. Feels great being up high climbing around in trees.

Brian had his work cut out for him to trim and shape 4 40',15-year-old Honey Maple trees that had never been trimmed. They were a mess of dead branches and twisted growth. He patiently took them one major branch at a time and thinned them out. We can't wait to see how they look when they leaf out. Bet they're beautiful. His clean -up when he was done was meticulous. He also coordinated his job with the trash pickup schedule for our area, which saved even more money. It was hard, slow work, but he works on an hourly basis and we know for sure the bill was less than half of what a big contractor would have charged, and are positive his end result will be a whole lot better than 6 guys whacking away for an hour and a half and charging twice as much. Brian is a really nice person and knew what he was doing. We enjoyed talking to him and will employ him any time we need our trees taken care of. On a scale of 1 to 10, we rate him a 12. The Lewises

Brian contacted me immediately after I created my project on Thumbtack. His communication was great all the way through this job. I hired Brian to trim 10 palm trees in my yard. He quoted me a price on the pictures I sent to him. He scheduled my job quickly and he did an amazing job. Several of the palms were 30 plus feet high. The trees look perfect. He trimmed the trees and cleaned up and placed out for bulk pickup. Cleanup was excellent as well. While he was there it was discovered that I had some citrus rats frequenting my citrus trees which still had fruit on them. We asked him if he would be interested in manicuring the citrus trees to help us get rid of all the fruit and manicure the trees. He arranged his schedule to help get these trees thinned out before the bulk trash pickup was at our house. I am so appreciative of his honesty and incredible work ethic. My only regret is I didn't find him years ago! Absolutely call him for all your tree trimming and maintenance needs.

Brian was great to work with. He was reliable, came on short notice, and took great care to do the job right. His abilities and knowledge of climbing and roping gear is very beneficial, as he was able to rig parts of the tree to prevent damage to the house or yard.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
It's pretty simple. When bidding jobs I try to guestimate how long it will take. For Thinning Jobs... If I'm not climbing and not using a chainsaw I'll try to bid it so that I'll make $30/hour. If I am climbing and not using a chainsaw I'll try to bid it so that I'll make $40/hour. If I am climbing and I am using a chainsaw I'll try to bid it so that I'll make $50/hour.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
One of the first things I ask is if they would like to have stuff hauled away for free using the city's Bulk Trash collection service. So I'll ask their address and find out what Bulk Trash area they're in then figure out if the bulk trash date matches the time range they would like me to render service in. Also, use their address to give them a free estimate asap.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My uncle was a caver which involved lots of rappelling and ascending on rope which is very similar to the tree biz. I also worked for local crew as a lighting technician which involved lots of climbing around in order to hang lights on different fixtures.
