i have had the pleasure of tasting Andrea's food both at her house as well as at my house. In both cases the food was cooked from scratch, even when she came to my house, and her food was truly an unbelievable experience. Ever since i had the pleasure of tasting the "midnight cooks" cooking, resturants have never been the same. Now I simply make up excuses to see her husband, Darrell, in hopes that i get treated to another dinner. This is precisely why i say "i miss her dogs" but really "i miss Andrea's cooking"

Andrea catered the main meal portion of our outdoor event. Short form... her food was out if this world. She created 'down home' food that she elevated to gourmet without the pretensions. I am not usually so expansive with my praise, but her food really is something special and I am getting hungry now just thinking about it.

We love Andrea's cooking! She can take a relatively boring comfort food dish such as macaroni and cheese and turn it into a gourmet experience. Recently Andrea came to our home for a preliminary cooking lesson/ demonstration. She showed us how to create a fantastic dinner out of our nearly empty fridge. The entire family loved it!

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

I like to work with each individual client. No job is the same. Once I have a good understanding of the client's needs, I have a better idea of how much time and commitment the job will require, and I can more fairly quote a price.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I am always reading new books and articles about the latest trends, nutrition information, and new foods. I love to continue to grow my knowledge of ingredients through cooking and experimenting.

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

I have always loved the way a good meal brought people together. I have such good memories of my grandma waking me up to blueberry pancakes in the morning, or her pork & dumplings for dinner. I wanted to give my children the childhood I had by being there for them and always making sure they had good food memories to grow up with. I have worked around food from restaurants to grocery stores most of my life. One day I said, why not sharpen my skills with a degree in culinary arts? Originally I wanted to open a bed & breakfast in Mexico but life took a different path so I decided to share my knowledge with people here in my own city. And I'm just so happy to be working doing what I love.
