The video was delivered on the requested deadline of January 4th after receiving the final footage only a few days earlier, which made this an unbelievably fast turnaround. The quoted rate - which was a flat rate not hourly as you have implied in your review - was agreed upon in advance, and the final invoice reflected the work required to review footage, edit, color, and deliver the completed music video within the expedited timeframe requested. You said, “The turnaround was so fast it’s hard to believe the number of hours that were claimed.” - I never discussed hours so this is completely inaccurate. Once more, the project was a flat rate, not hourly. “She also requires you to sign a contract beforehand that essentially prevents you from raising concerns about the quality once the video is delivered.” - Signing a contract for this type of work is industry standard, and you only raised concern about the quality once the payment deadline had passed and I was forced to threaten legal action. “When I asked for one small additional change, it was refused “as per the contract.” - Your statement that I refused to make changes “as per the contract” is inaccurate. Multiple changes were made during the editing process. I provided professional creative input on what would work best for the final piece. I never refused any revisions. The video was ultimately approved and posted by you. It’s unfortunate that you felt the need to leave a bad review even though you gave me numerous compliments during the editing process. The only time you raised concerns about quality was after final delivery and after you had ignored my many text messages and emails regarding payment, which you had not provided. After I was forced to threaten legal action, you offered to pay me $350, about half the original amount, and said you would give me “a good review.” I believe $675 for a fast turnaround music video project with an unlimited amount of first round revisions was an extremely generous rate. Your final comment to me on the final version was, “It looks great.”
