We bought a home in Phoenix a few years ago, only to realize that the ac does not work in half of the house. In the last year we've had a few larger hvac companies come out to figure out what was going on and they all presented us with expensive solutions without even looking at the unit or duct work. We found Sam last week on here and decided to have him come out for another opinion. He arrived when he said he would, he was very personable, and very thorough in checking out our system, as well as going into the attic and looking at the duct work. Sam also gave us some great tips on how to maintain our hvac system. We really appreciate the amount of time he spent with us and we look forward to having him get our system back to working properly and more efficiently.

Where do I begin to tell you of the great experience working with Sam? I am so, so impressed. For starters, he is honest and has tons of integrity. He does not try to upsale you to pad his bill. I was told of the charge for maintenance up front. I also loved the super quick reply after I posted the job. He arrived promptly (on a Sunday with no extra charge) within the time frame indicted and let me know when he was about 20 minutes away. He got right to work on the units and running the diagnostics. These are side by side outdoor ground units (large and small). After taking pressure readings, He went into the attic to check on the smaller unit which had been out of commission for some time. He discovered a part which needed a replacement and had this apparent common part on his truck. Cost of the part was negligible. Keep in mind another person told me this unit would require a major repair. My husband accompanied Sam into the attic and Sam essentially gave my husband a tutorial on HVAC systems. Before you know it both units were up and running perfectly. The house is super cool and the price was so, so fair and reasonable. I even added about a 15% tip! I can now check out of the Hampton Inn in Goodyear where my family and I stayed last night. (The hotel room was better than the 88 degrees in my home last night, but the in-room unit could benefit from some work by Sam). Sam is the real deal and if you are tired of dealing with folks who want to rob you blind, look no further than Sam. God bless.

Sam is the needle in the haystack and we were so lucky to find him. Sam saved us thousands. We had another company come yesterday for yearly service. He told us that he could repair our units for $2000 or replace them. After having more bids to replace Sam came and said he didn’t think that they needed to be replaced. He replaced some parts for a very reasonable price and said we were good to go for maybe another 2 years. Just have maintenance again in another 6 months. Honesty goes along way.

Sam was great! He was always in communication about the project, very knowledgeable, and helpful in getting us to understand the problem. We hired him to service one unit and give us a quote on the second unit (which we were told was broken). He was able to get our second unit in good enough working condition to give us extra time before replacement!

I have had formal Hvac schooling/training. I am EPA certified. I do commercial HVAC through the union and run Hellerud Air for residential evenings/weekends.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
Wanted a career that was challenging with different situations all the time. Plus I get to meet a lot of new people on the daily.
