I’m very dissatisfied with the service I received so a simple job of retrieving a dryer vent cleaning rod and brush out of my dryer vent. The initial visit, the technician charged me $200 after all he did was crank on the power drill attached to the rods and break off the brush from the rods leaving it stuck in the vent. This was a 2 minute job that I could have done myself, but I didn’t because I figured a professional would be able to fix it with the appropriate access (i.e. a ladder). He told me he would come out the next business day and retrieve the brush from the roof (since my vent goes to the roof). Prior to this, I had already told the company that my vent went to the roof and the size of the ladder needed before he even came out and he showed up without a ladder tall enough. The next business day came and I had not heard from anyone so I called on my lunch hour and was told they made a scheduling mistake and someone would come out the next day. The next day came and I received a call that since it was raining they could not safely go on the roof (rain was in the forecast and they knew the job entailed going on the roof so why did they schedule it for that day?). So they rescheduled for the next dry day in the forecast. On that day, I received a call saying that there was no one available with a ladder so they would need to reschedule AGAIN! At this point I feel like I am being taken advantage of after already paying the $200 and since I already paid they have no incentive to fix the issue that they made worse by breaking off the rods from the dryer cleaning brush. The problem was never solved and it is a very simple job as long as you have a ladder tall enough to get to the roof which apparently is hard to come by for this company.
