FAQs
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Realizing I had a passion for staying active led me to my line of work. It began as a coaching career and led more in to training. Realizing most people lack strength is various muscle groups are what lead them to injury. If they are in doe type of training program to keep the major muscle groups strong and healthy, they can avoid a lot of the little injuries that come up as the body ages.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
I like customers should look for not only a qualified trainer, but one who they like their personality as well. You and your trainer will be spending many hours together, and you want them to be someone who not only pushes you to do your personal best, but who you can trust and confide in. Many unhealthy habits stem from other "whys" and as a trainer, part of our job is to help you uncover your "why" to transition in to a healthier lifestyle.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
I want clients to know it is normal to have "bad" workout days. Days you are not going to feel motivated to come in and you will be tired. It is my job to make sure you don't give in to temptation, slack off and want to make the experience as fun as possible. If there are specific exercises or types of exercise you enjoy, we can incorporate those and variations in to workouts. I want clients to eventually enjoy the feeling after a good hard workout and to continue to want that feeling for the rest of their life.
