Kevin seemed like a nice guy and very personable. That being said, he was unable to figure out the true issue with my computer. I got a second opinion and it turned out to be a simple case of Malware. The second tech fixed it for cheaper than Kevin's misdiagnosis.Aug 22, 2017Verified

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Yes. I charge $60 hr with a $35 minimum. Many things can be fixed at the minimum charge, anything that would run over the minimum would be quoted in advance. If a system is too outdated or otherwise not viable and practical to repair. I will be the first one to point that out. In some cases it is best to buy a new system. If that is a requirement, I would love to have a chance to spec a system for the customer's needs and then order the correct equipment. Whatever a customer decides to do about a replacement is up to them. I would like and have many times performed the out-of-box setup for systems purchased elsewhere. I can transfer files, change setting, uninstall 'junkware' and the customer can be up and running quickly!
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?First I need to talk to the customer to determine what the customer is wanting to do or what is happening so I can determine a way to fix the problem. This is the only way to accurately quote a job.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?Every day is a learning experience, I am constantly studying changes and advancements.
