My name is Gustavo Federico and I have fun at work. I'm the owner of Mostly Metal Works LLC. Good days are plentiful when you enjoy what you do. Mostly Metal Works LLC is a one man crew that creates many sorts of fun and artistic metal items. Decorative doors, gates and fencing is highest in demand but I also like to re-purpose materials to create artwork. We needed a gate to keep coyotes out of our yard. Gus came over and fabricated and installed a strong corrugated steel closure. He was very helpful and easy to work with. YES, he is a keeper and we will use him again for future projects.

We asked thumbtack for someone who could help build a fence for us. We asked 7 people and only one person replied. His name is Gustavo Federico. We are so happy that Gus is the one that replied to our request. We wanted a welded metal fence to replace our old wooden fence that sits on brick wall. Gus not only put up our fence but also two solid Gates and a canopy for our pool equipment. Gus exceeded my expectations in all. He was very professional on the job and paid attention to detail. The money we spent on our fence was more than worth it. We have future projects in mind and we will definitely be calling Gus back to do those. I highly recommend this gentleman for any Welding Services that you may need.

Gus is amazing. He built us a beautiful one of a kind gate along with a fence. Now, our dogs have a beautiful safe place to run around. Gus is very detail oriented, professional and takes ownership of his projects. The fence and gate were just as important to him as they were us. I would hire him again and recommend him to anyone.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
There is no standard pricing since most of my projects are custom. Please call or message for details.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I'm easy to work with. Customers can call, text, e-mail, or send a message through thumbtack. Most of the work I do are custom projects or repairs so it's best to provide a picture or a detailed description. I don't mind traveling to the customer to introduce myself.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've been a welder for 14 years and have worked on projects such as the International Border Fence and the Tucson Modern Streetcar. I gained experience in heavy machinery by working for companies like Caterpillar and Empire-Cat. I've had my side business since 2006 mainly selling wrought iron doors, window guards and fencing. Now, most of my projects are custom or unique.
