FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
No drama with me. Simple fee process.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I'm always on YouTube and reading everything I can from photo blogs and the newest trends.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started shooting professional band photos back in 1998 because I could never explain to the photographer what I saw in my head and what I wanted in a shot. So I started shooting myself using a timer to shoot me and my bands I was in. I studied other rock photographers such as...Brad Elterman, Jenny Lens, Mick Rock, Charles Peterson, Janette Beckman, Pennie Smith, Anton Corbijn, Kerstin Rodgers, Jonathan Mannion, and Kevin Cummins, to name a few of my favorites. My secret in shooting is marketing. Remember that word. Whats going to sell the band. Thats what I'm constantly thinking when I'm in your face. I also believe that using natural lighting (no flash), mirrors that nights atmosphere and gives the audience a truer feeling of that evenings events. I want the audience to say "ah man! I missed an awesome show". From there I started to practice portraits with my kids and then moved on to bigger jobs.
