Kerry-Lynn G. says, "I contracted with The Dapper Spout to manage the food and beverage service for my husband’s celebration of life event at our home.
My first interaction with Anthony Aguilera set the tone for the entire process. He arrived at my home on time and had done his homework regarding what I needed. We discussed my vision for the event, the number of guests expected and the flow of the event. He prepared an estimate, and the work began.
Anthony was in regular contact regarding progress on his side and any additional details or assistance that I needed on mine. The touchpoints were revisited and evaluated regularly to ensure smooth execution on the day of the event.
We collaborated on beverage options and landed on three specialty cocktails and three specialty mocktails. Anthony prepared custom drink menus for the bar that highlighted those offerings.
The day prior, Anthony walked through the interior and exterior guest areas to look for potential bottlenecks and/or safety concerns and helped to move furniture to address those concerns. We also reviewed our respective checklists, and he went out of his way to reassure his nervous client that he and his staff would take care of everything—and they did!
Anthony arrived early the next day to set up the outdoor bar and to greet and instruct his staff of six. The staff swiftly donned their uniforms and got to work setting up trays of appetizers for the cocktail hour meet and greet, and the extensive lunch and dessert buffets for 70 guests.
Each staff member understood their role and executed it professionally. The greeter welcomed each guest upon arrival and directed them to the patio area for the meet and greet. One person was assigned to ensure that bathrooms were maintained and well-stocked.
Appetizers were neatly organized atop serving trays with appropriate plates, napkins and service-ware. Staff then circulated through guest areas for everyone to enjoy, while Anthony was hands-on at the bar delighting guests with his drink specialties.
At the event’s conclusion, the staff went to work boxing up the leftover buffet and dessert items, and cleaning chaffing and serving dishes, and they left the kitchen in better shape than it was when they started that morning.
Would I recommend The Dapper Spout for this type of event—highly, and without hesitation. Well done!
