- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Because each project has its own unique expectations and challenges, I prefer to quote on a case-by-case basis. But my fees are always exact quotes rather than estimates.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I remember coming home from school when I was five years old and crying because I couldn't read. From that day on, I became obsessed with written words and I taught myself to read and write. I didn't wait until the teacher got to it! I've been a "word person" ever since.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
My most common jobs are websites, although I've done a lot of brochures, flyers, general B2B collateral, and even résumés. Most recently, I have been working on insurance documents as the insurance industry changes their information to properly comply with the ACA (the Affordable Care Act).
