FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Helping Paws offers personalized training plans tailored to each dog’s emotional needs and goals. Pricing reflects the depth of care, expertise, and time invested in every session. We offer package discounts for multi-session commitments and reduced rates for rescue partnerships and foster families. No hidden fees—just honest, heart-led service. Every dollar supports healing, trust, and transformation.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
At Helping Paws, every journey begins with listening. I start with a free phone consultation to learn about your dog’s story, challenges, and goals. From there, we schedule an in-person evaluation where I meet your dog, observe their behavior, and begin building trust. I then create a customized training plan tailored to your dog’s emotional needs, learning style, and your family’s lifestyle. Whether we’re working on obedience, reactivity, or service dog tasks, every session is guided by empathy, clear communication, and a deep respect for your dog’s past. I walk beside you the whole way—celebrating progress, adjusting as needed, and making sure you feel supported and empowered.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I’m certified in dog psychology, service dog task and public access training, aggression/reactivity rehabilitation, basic and advanced obedience, and puppy foundations. My training is rooted in trauma-informed methods that prioritize emotional safety, trust-building, and clear communication. Beyond certifications, my deepest education has come from working with dogs who’ve survived neglect, fear, and heartbreak—especially my soul dog Moose, whose journey taught me how to lead with empathy, patience, and love.
