Hi, I have been DJing and collecting records since the middle 1990s. Besides the weekly residencies at various Chicago clubs over the years, like Drum Bar, the Peninsula Hotel and the California Clipper, I have DJed and hosted hundreds and hundreds of weddings, dinner parties, restaurants, backyard jammies, house parties, city festivals etc as well as bigger shows like the Congress Theater and the Museum of Science and Industry.
I am comfortable in virtually all genres, including pop, jazz, disco, house, hip hop, Latin, rock, soul, rnb, country, folk, and world/global musics. Besides my vinyl records collection, digital files and playlists, I am a very advanced collector and DJ of rarer 78rpm records from America and around the world. These are the first ever records made from the 1890s to about 1960, and make for a unique and special experience for music and history lovers. Overall, I have loved something from every era and genre of music, old to new, and I can create a memorable musical environment in just about any setting. I am always open to collaboration with the client: I am not a DJ or performer who insists on my own tastes for everything, and am more than happy to work together on what is the best, most joyful, most authentic and most connected musical vibe for you and your guests, period. My audio equipment is all current, industry-standard, from mixer to speakers, top to bottom pro sound and look.
