I have experience with extreme weight loss clients to high school athletes to bodybuilders to marathon runners to your average joe just looking to get a six pack. Clients don't just train with 'Training By Mal', they learn. You will walk out of every session understanding why you just did what you did and you’ll feel accomplished. Training by Mal workouts are structured around each client’s goal and are typically shorter in duration and higher in intensity. 'Macros By Mal'- With my nutrition clients, each macro breakdown and sample meal plan is personalized according to clients goals and needs. The sample meal plan helps the client understand nutrient timing to improve their energy inside and outside of the gym. The best part is YOU GET TO EAT CARBS ;) and lots of them! I get to use my passion and knowledge to help others improve themselves. There always comes a point where my clients develop a sense of purpose and happiness that they didn't have when we started, that- for me, is the best part. Not only that, but I get to work out of a Crossfit gym, which means tons of different equipment that you can't find in a normal gym. (Note: this does NOT mean you will do Crossfit unless you want to)

I’ve worked with many different personal trainers and Mal is by far the best one I’ve had. She really took the time to understand my goals and help me figure out how to achieve them with a healthy and realistic approach. I’ve been suffering a wrist injury and she catered my workouts around that and to the equipment I have available at my gym. She keeps me accountable, while providing the extra motivation I need. My goal was to gain strength/muscle and she has helped me achieve that through nutrition and fitness. She’s very knowledgeable, but also so easy and fun to talk to. Definitely recommend!

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

    Each potential new client receives a consultation and a trial session for $30. Going forward, I charge per month(4 weeks). This keeps the client more accountable as opposed to single session rates. My prices are flexible but typically average between a few hundred to a few thousand a month. This depends on how many times per week the client wishes to train.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

    New clients receive a consultation/initial session. In this meeting we get to know each other, talk about goals, challenges previously faced with reaching said goals, take assessments, and come up with a game plan to get you on the right track. This goes for nutrition clients as well; they go through a nutrition assessment/consultation.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

    BS Exercise Physiology NASM-CPT USAW L1 Sports Performance USAW L2 Advanced Sports Performance EMT Basic Crossfit L1 NASM-Sport Nutrition CPR/First Aid CSCS (In progress)
