About
I have a B.S. in Mathematics and have been tutoring all math subjects up to Pre-Calculus for over 20 years. I've also been an SAT prep tutor for
15 years. I tutor all three portions of the SAT.
Tutoring sessions can be in person or through Zoom in which case I
scan and email each student my session notes after each session for
later review.
My strength as a math tutor is being able to explain math concepts in
as simplistic a way as possible so that the student understands. I
often hear students say "wow that makes so much more sense than
what my teacher said in school."
I love showing students specific SAT strategies that are very
different than those used on "regular" tests in school.

Randy is an excellent tutor. He took time to build a rapport with my son and was always patient and attentive. Not only has my son’s grade in Algebra 2/Trig go from a C to an A with Randy’s help, more importantly my son now has the confidence that he can learn math. Many thanks to Randy!

Randy is outstanding. We had a unique situation - a foreign student with only 3 weeks to prepare. Randy tailored the tutoring to our student's interests to keep him focused and engaged. Randy somehow found time up to late in the evening to get the necesaary hours in. Every session went the full time plus. You get every $'s worth. The locations were near us so we didn't waste time in the road. For less than 1% of a college education your student gets their best choices. A great investment.

We have just gotten start with online tutoring for my son and I have never experienced such great responsiveness and willingness to help. I am sure this will be an ongoing process for the next year or so.

I’ve had a few tutors throughout my education, and Randy has been by far the best one. He tutored me in high school all the way up to community college and I’m happy to say now I’m attending my dream university and I couldn’t have done it without his help. He helped with Algebra 2, math analysis, math SAT tutoring, and community college level Pre calculus which I earned the highest test scores in the class and completed the class with an A+. I was also balancing a student athlete schedule while tutoring with him so he was always so accomadating and helpful of my busy schedule and would help me anyway that he could. After tutoring sessions he would take time out of his day/night and send me extra notes or explain further if I needed it. He was the first tutor I felt completely comfortable with from the very first session. My family is also so happy with Randy’s work over the past few years with us and enjoys Randy’s company just as much as I do! He tutored my sister as well as my friends. He really tries to see what way works for each student and tries to make concepts as applicable as he can. There were times when professors explained things a way in which I did not grasp well and Randy always knew how to explain it in a way I could understand and succeed with. I recommend Randy to a student that needs help in any subject, he is the best!!

Randy is an amazing tutor! He really cares about the students understanding of the material and is also a great teacher. Randy has helped me with math and SAT tutoring in the past. He is very easy to talk to and makes learning fun! I highly recommend Randy for tutoring
