Introduction: I offer local handyman services. Hello! I'm skilled at the painful and often infuriating task of IKEA assembly. I have plenty of spare parts and can even provide repairs. I'm comfortable with hanging of wall mount flat screens of all sizes. Years of gallery work has provided me a good eye and ability to hang art and sculpture. I'm able at swapping out of light fixtures, ceiling fans, toilets, garbage disposals and sinks as well as having a maintained truck albeit 62 years old (the truck not me) for hauling and transporting. I paint furniture, rooms, trim and exterior. Years of art school gave me a steady and a picky eye for detail. Demolition and hauling is also not a problem. I do light gardening and basic car repair. Garage door opener installations are not a problem also, and I am open to other small jobs and repairs. (from jewelry, espresso machines, art work, cars and furniture, just to name a few) Basic auto work is possible. I can even do basic pre-purchase inspections, help with values and test drives. I'm clean and smoke free, respectful of privacy and property and on time, and I do not swear (except for IKEA assembly, then it's standard). I do not own a tool belt or expose my butt crack to the public and like pets. I sweep after I'm done and put things back where I found them. I normally do not charge by the hour (it goes from $45-65) but often price by job. I take cash or payment via credit cards or Paypal. I service the local areas, from SF to East bay and as far as Sausalito/Fremont/Palo Alto (I do charge travel time for those distances).

Terrible - he overcharged us substantially ($250 for a job that should have priced in the $50-100 range based on the amount of effort he put into it). We hired him to paint and assemble a crib. He spent about 20 minutes touching it up - missed a bunch of spots - and then assembled it incorrectly. I only noticed this because I had to change the height of the mattress and realized he had the screws in the wrong places. The biggest issue was that I had assumed a professional-grade painting job for $250, not the less than 1 hour of effort touching it up in a few places. Would not recommend.

We worked with Samuel twice already. Samuel is very nice, neat and tidy and is a hard enthusiastic worker. We will definitely wok with Samuel again.

This review is long overdue! Samuel refinished a sideboard for me in 2014 and I am very pleased with the result. I had the sideboard, hutch and paint delivered to him and I gave him instructions via text and email. Sam understood exactly what I was looking for. For me it was a leap of faith but it really paid off. He is attentive to detail, easy to communicate with and finishes in a timely manner. I highly recommend him!!
