Introduction: Tutors for Charity is distinctive for being at the intersection of education and compassion, of learning and empathy. Far too many educational providers today emphasize only grades and test scores and nothing much else. At Tutors for Charity, we believe in the holistic development of the student, and care deeply about each student's physical, mental, emotional and social well-being as well as their connection to family, friends and community. It all begins with the smile of one student, when things "just click" and you see their improvement in confidence, sociability, demeanor as well as grades.

I've worked with Francis since my senior year in high school and honestly I can say that thanks to him it was the reason why I passed my Algerbra 2 class with a B. I was not understanding the teacher because she did not explain the material right and when my mom searched for a tutor online and found Francis I can thankfully say he helped me a lot. While we he helped me with algebra 2 I was working on an online geometry course which he helped me as well and at the end with his help I received an A. He is very patient with students and he reviews material so that you understand it. He doesn't move foward with material unless you are understanding what is being taught which is what good tutors should do. I went from a D to a B thanks to him and now I attend Cal State Northridge l. I had to take a developmental math course in Algebra and he helped me as well. He is very flexible with time schedules with students. I will most defiantly be needing his help in the future for my statistics class and I recommend him to any students that is struggling in math and needs extra help.

I have been having very low grades lately, as low as an F on science and math. I needed a tutor and a good one, first try on it i was already understanding everything. I only went with my tutor 1-2 days a week and by school started i have had A's on both subjects. From an F to an A on both of my least favorite subjects and helping me understand.

I contacted Francis to help my 15 year old son with Chemistry. I was pleasantly surprised to learn that he was able to tutor my son in Geometry as well. Francis is an excellent tutor! My son's grades have improved dramatically in a very short period of time. Francis is very patient and explains things in a way that makes it easy for my son to understand. Most importantly, his primary concern is that the student actually learns the material. Like most high schoolers, my son sometimes has sports and other activities that interfere with our usual tutoring time. Francis is flexible and makes every effort to accommodate us, even if it means he has to work later in the evening or on the weekends. It is wonderful and extremely helpful for my son to have the option of working on Chemistry, Geometry, or both in one session. Francis is knowledgeable, caring and professional. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone!
