Introduction: California Jungle, Inc. Has more than 30 years experience. We are a full service landscape company. We take great pride in our work and we really care about your landscape. Plants are just plants with out a design. We think of the evolution of the plants and plant them so they will not compete with one another. We have a great love for all styles and care of landscape. I take great pride in what I do, I have been doing landscape since I was 16, I truly love what I do and I am not just some corporation. There is an Art and a Science to Landscape and you have to know both to have a successful yard. I have been doing Landscape for over forty years. I started helping my father at the age of 16. I have always been a nature lover and I love the outdoors. I have a true love for plants, even when I am on a break I love to continue learning and visit botanical or cactus gardens to learn and understand about the plants and habitat in each area I visit. I am constantly educating myself about plants the newest trends and what is best for our environment. I started Xerioscaping (using desert tolerant plants and design over 30 years). However, I am an expert in all styles of landscaping.

I call Chris the "Picasso of Plants". His innovative landscape designs have already won my home 2 awards. He's designed 3 homes on our street and all are completely different. He also offers gardener maintenance. His prices are very competitive. Truth be told, you get so much more than you pay for! HIGHLY recommend.

My wife and I have used California Jungle twice. The first time was to help sell our home, where Chris Degroote upgraded our "tired looking yard" to create new modern look that improved the curb appeal and value of our home. We sold the home for full price quickly, and received many positive first impression comments about the landscaping from buyers. Next, California Jungle did a large renovation of the next home we purchased. This included front, side and back yards with a mid-century modern theme. Chris and team built a barbecue, courtyard, and decorative, retaining walls. They upgraded the deck, added planters, and opened up our ocean views. This project took several months. Chris did a good job planning, managing a crew, and discussing many design options. We highly recommend California Jungle to improve the look and value of your home.

We agreed on a fence wall. Sealing a crack in a cement wall and trimming down a oak tree. Did a good job on the oak tree but left all the trash and wood behind. Cement wall was covered up with cement didn't use the 5k pressure sealant either. The fence was very cheap material and they also left the posts uncut so there higher than the fence itself. Also left the fence gate uninstalled. When I paid him he said he would come the next day to take the trash the next day..That's when I noticed all the other issues. He hasn't come back for the trash in my driveway and has not returned my calls since. In the end he promised a lot and did as little as possible. This was my fault for paying him before checking his work.

I was having a major drainage issue 10 years after a "professional" landscaping remodel . California Jungle owner Chris came out and immediately offered solutions to the myriad of problems. In the process, and at my request, he enthusiastically offered suggestions for plant replacement, decorative lighting, etc. Chris has been doing this for 25 years and is SO knowledgeable about everything from proper drainage to plant selection and esthetic appeal via lighting and decorative fixtures. He gave me a bid I felt was very reasonable, and I got SO much more than I expected. His passion for his work, attention to detail and flexibility during the hiccups (the existing drainage and lighting systems were poorly executed) and his ability to deal with a finicky neighbor surpassed all expectations. I finally have the cottage garden I always dreamed of, and he even offers maintenance service so I will know that everything is getting pruned and watered just right. I couldn't be happier, and couldnt recommend him more!
