Lizama Plumbing was extremely professional, courteous and cost was very fair. Recently needed a new garbagedisposal and my toilet unclogged and Sal was able to get the work done and answer any questions. Highly recommend!

We have had some issues with our shower and toilet backing up. Another plumbing service has come out several times to try and fix the problem.
I eventually reached out to Lizama Plumbing and got a second opinion! Sal was great! He explained everything thoroughly and correctly diagnosed and fixed the problem. He took the time to make sure everything was working. I would highly recommend Lizama Plumbing!

Can't say I had a great experience overall with Sal. Sal refuses to take ownership of a new issue that appeared just 2 days from his repair. The new issue was not present before his service call and Sal demands 60$ to come diagnose the issue indicating the new issue (which he doesn't even understand) was completely unrelated to the scope of his work. Sal guaranteed that if there were an issue he would return and fix it, no problem. This isn't the case, now I need to hire another plumber.
More details: I had a leak which turned out to be from the toilet wax ring that went down to the 1st floor ceiling. Told Sal when he arrived for a diagnostic, to not poke a hole in the ceiling - I wanted to see if he could deduce the issue without causing more damage. This was a courtesy diagnostic visit to see what the issue is and get a quote. I go downstairs after flushing toilet upstairs so we can both hear the noise of the drip in the ceiling to find a new hole in the ceiling - Sal ended up poking a hole in the ceiling. Maybe this was an accident, but now I have no choice but to use his service.
We negotiate a deal for 150$ for wax ring replacement as this seems to be the issue. Wax rings, bolts are replaced - he did it all at 9 PM at night which I appreciate. Was informational in what he was doing, appreciated that too. Sal leaves - tells me when leaving if you have an issue to give him a call and he will fix it. I have a leak 2 days after the repair, after what, maybe 3 or 4 flushes? I call Sal, he insists it's a new issue - he won't come look at it and is immediately defensive - didn't ask for photos or to understand the issue, not when does the issue happen or how does it happen, not any thoughts or communication of how the issue may or may not be related. Completely confident that a leak that wasn't there before his work must be my roommate using the toilet and damaging it within 2 days of his repair. Sal gaslit me and told me I should have seen it before he left and he is positive it wasn't his work. This isn't guaranteeing work. I mentioned to him over the phone, I would write a review of the total scope of work including this new issue and his refusal to take any accountability. He didn't seem to care.
After this conversation I investigated the toilet myself and tried to determine where the leak was coming from. I identified that inside the toilet tank there are gaskets that mount to the toilet bowl - When Sal lifted off the toilet to replace the wax ring, the gasket with bolt was compromised and water is now slowly leaking from the gasket in the tank to the floor. This is something Sal should have identified or at least thought as a probable cause of an issue that relates to work he performed just 2 days prior. I'll have to hire another plumber to fix this for me now.
Additional details: Sal tells me he has a sheetrock guy who will help me with the ceiling at a great price, that he damaged without my consent. Followed up with Sal next day on that person - sheetrock guy apparently changed his number - no sheetrock guy now. This was before the follow up repair issue. Tells me he guarantees his work - if I have an issue give him a call and he will come out and fix it. This was false, he wasn't willing to hear about the issue and was only offering to come back out for additional charges which were never disclosed before. Sal may be underqualified to understand when doing a repair job, how new issues that arise could relate to the work performed. He wasn't willing to understand what the problem is without demanding another 60$ for a service visit. This isn't good customer service.
Photos: Crooked toilet tank that Sal left. The right side that is stretched out is where the leak is coming from. Hole in ceiling.
