Tutoring We offer online Executive Functioning Tutoring for children at the rate of 35.00 an hour. We target Focusing, Attending and Retaining with in Arithmetic, Language Arts, and other foundational subject curriculum. Our in person Executive Functioning Tutoring for children within the surrounding areas of Anaheim, CA is 45.00 an hour. [****SPECIAL: Online Tutoring by Maya E for ages k - 4 grades at the rate of 25.00 an hour. Please ask us***** ] The tutoring is designed for any child, with or without disabilities. We provide a mini assessment to determine the way in which your child is learning. The mini assessment examines: 1. Pre planning 2. Time Management 3. Task Initiation Skills 4. Organizational Skills 5. Problem solving Skills 6. Flexibility 7. Working Memory 8. Emotional Control 9. Impulse Control 10. Attention Control 11. Self-Monitoring Control For our children, the early school years are formative, and it’s a period of rapid physical, social development, cognitive, & motor development. By developing and/or enhancing these core executive functioning skills while learning academics (e.g. arithmetic, English, essay writing, etc), young people have the opportunity to build their learning foundation for the higher-order abilities. These skills are needed as they transition within each learning segment of their lives. During the sessions, the lessons incorporate the targeted subject (e.g. English, arithmetic, etc.) with: task initiation, self-regulation, planning & prioritizing and cognitive flexibility. These areas are addressed with strategies to promote your child becoming an independent and confident learner.

Shanda possesses her BA in Child Development and Psychology with an emphasis in Art 2D. Her masters degree is in psychology She has worked with many children and their families for over 20 years, in many capacities. She spent most of her career supervising behavior programs for children with disabilities. The position has allowed her to performing assessments, adjusting curriculum, while managing behavior. Currently on Thumbtack, Shanda E Holistic Services, LLC is offering Executive Functioning Tutoring, Life Skills Coaching and English as a Second Language for all ages.
